The hotel is recognized as the most centrally located in Copenhagen. It is situated on the Town Hall Square, directly across from the famous Tivoli Gardens and close to the pedestrian street "Strøget" where you will find the leading stores. The distance to Copenhagen Airport is 7 km (15 minutes in a taxi). The airport terminal, with busses to/from the airport, is in the central railway station, only 400 metres from the hotel.

The hotel was built in 1910 and has been widely praised for its architecture. A Copenhagen landmark, it is a beautifully restored historic building. The 162 large guest rooms are very good condition, furnished in classic style with warm bright colour schemes and dark wood. The bathrooms are also in very good condition. On the ground floor, the "Brasserie on the Square" restaurant has a great view over the Town Hall Square. Head chef Øjvind Karlsen and his team serves a selection of Danish and international specialities. The hotel is of a high standard with excellent service in a superb location.
