This hotel is housed in an attractive wharf-side building that was once Copenhagen's main granary. It dates back to 1787 and has survived wars and fires. Inside, many of the original features - such as the sturdy beams of Pomeranian pine - have been preserved, creating a distinctive character. Having said that, the hotel has also been renovated throughout in a modern Scandinavian design. The interior is therefore a wonderful mix of old and new. The guest rooms do vary in size, due to the age of the building, but all are airy and well-equipped. Inspired by the maritime surroundings, the hotel's restaurant is named Pinafore. This inspiration is also evident in the menu, which features delicious fresh seafood, mixed with many Danish specialities. The restaurant serves breakfast in the morning, and is open both for lunch and dinner all days of the week
